Happy (early) 4th y'all!!!!!! July 4th is one of our favorite holidays, and I always love getting to dress my girls up in the colors of our flag and take a few red, white, and blue themed photos! In the past I've always tried to get their photos on the actual holiday, but I'm so glad we did these early this year so I can just document the moments as they happen tomorrow and not worry about getting anything other than candid moments :)

Every year I do 4th of July photos of my own kiddos and this year one of my best friends (and most loyal supporters, thanks girl!) tagged along so I could grab some patriotic pictures of her 3 girlies too! My summer shooting season is officially under way and I'm so excited to meet so many new families and re-connect with my loyal returning clients. I have booked up this summer faster than ever before...this week alone I shot 4 sessions in 4 days...WHOA!!!!! When a past client contacted me a few months ago and said she wanted to do a special 10 year anniversary shoot for her husband I was eager to hear more details about what she had up her sleeve and how we could work together to pull off a special shoot for her husband. She wanted to do a beachy wedding-ish shoot with her kids to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of her own beach wedding. I LOVED her idea to get her kids out on the beach and do a shoot that had a little bit of wedding photography flare but kept with my own style of lifestyle children's portraiture. I met my client and her sweet kiddos at sunrise at Wrightsville Beach one morning with her kids dressed in similar attire to what she and her husband wore 10 years ago for this special shoot. As an added bonus we were even able to have her little girl wear her mom's wedding dress at the very end for a few photos.
I am so in love with this session and so happy that I was able to help my client pull off this special surprise for her husband. When she received the gallery she responded that the images perfectly captured not only her children but she and her husband and if they had had a professional wedding photographer 10 years ago she felt like those images would have been similar. Can we say BEST FEEDBACK EVER!!!! Seriously, I am just so in love (I think I said that already, but I mean it!), and I hope you all love them too!
Last week I met up with Luke and his family for his 7 month pictures :) I couldn't believe 7 months had passed since I met Luke at his newborn session. He has grown so much and absolutely melted my heart when he reached right out for me to hold him when his family walked up. Thanks "B" family for choosing me to continue to document these sweet moments for your family!
