Happy Halloween!!!! I LOVE Halloween and I'm so glad my kids (and husband!) obliged me for another year and did a family costume! We chose a Peter Pan theme this year complete with Peter Pan, Tiger Lily, Captain Hook, Tinkerbell, Wendy, and Rufio (the infamous lost boy from the movie Hook). I wish I could take credit for the girls' costumes; however, I can only claim to have searched for these costumes on the internet ;) Peter Pan, Hook, and Tinkerbell were all bought via etsy shops (linked below). Tiger Lily is a dress from the Children's Place (no longer available) that the girls' Auntie Carlie customized and embellished to transform it in to the perfect Tiger Lily costume (Thanks Auntie Carlie!). I found my vintage blue dress via a yard sale page on facebook for $15 (SCORE!) and Matt pulled his costume together bit by bit and spent the most time out of any of use customizing his costume!
Costumes on Etsy:
Peter Pan
Captain Hook
Tinkerbell
As in years past we did a few photos beforehand so we can enjoy the evening with our friends, family, and neighbors without worrying about photos too much! I hope you all enjoy our 2017 family costume!
Happy Halloween 2016!!!
It's been a while since I updated the blog late last year, and I surely thought I would come back to the world of blogging with a post introducing our 4th born, but life with 4 is as crazy (if not crazier) than you could imagine so here I am posting the first pictures of out 4th born who is nearly 8 months old in a Halloween post ;) I guess that's life!
So a few things before we get to the Halloween pics! Baby girl #4 (Fisher Clark) was born in March and is a great addition to our family. Life and work have been sooooo busy! I am incredibly thankful for all the clients I have met over the past 5 years who keep coming back to me and trusting me with their family's memories. You guys sure kept me busy this year, and maybe one day I'll share your family's sweet faces on this blog but for now I'll keep doing the best I can to do justice to my family and my sweet clients of mine even if that means this blog gets majorly neglected!!!
This year we decided to dress up again as a family (remember our League of Their Own costumes for last year?), and Wizard of Oz was the choice. Or if you're my 2 year old you call it "Wizard of Boz." I needed a fairly easy and quick theme to pull together this year (because FOUR KIDS Y'ALL!!!!) and this was a great fit for us as the girls LOVE this movie!
Matt and I were the scarecrow and tin man respectively and we pulled together our costumes either from our closets, walmart, the craft store, and I ordered my "hat" from amazon because I couldn't find the time to just spray paint a funnel silver (did I mention life has been CRAZY!).
Randal Jean was the (not so) Wicked Witch. I swear the kid couldn't be wicked if she tried, but she sure did enjoy getting to wear green eye shadow and dark lipstick! Her dress is from Alice and Ames and I love that she will be getting lots of wear out of it this fall and winter after Halloween is over. PS- if you have a daughter in size 2-8 you have got to check out their dresses. My three big girls love to twirl in them and they photograph so well!
Tilley was Glinda the Good Witch. I ordered her dress from Nordstrom and crown from Etsy.
Clara Jo was our Dorothy (or "Dor-she" as she says it). Her dress was ordered from Etsy and shoes were scored off Ebay but are Toms.
Our newest little babe, Fisher, was the cowardly lion and isn't she just the cutest!!!! Her dress is from Primary and head piece and tail from Etsy.
I hope you guys enjoy our 2016 Halloween images! I sure do enjoy dressing up the girls each year for some fun and LOTS of sugar on Halloween!
Our (not-so) Wicked Witch!!! She did try to be wicked for a few ;)
Tilley as Glinda the Good Witch
Have you ever seen a cuter Dorothy?!?! Clara Jo probably loves this movie the most so she has been super excited to dress up as "Dor-she."
Last but not least our cowardly lion!!!
Whew! I almost didn't get them out this year but *fingers crossed* friends and family will have our 2015 Christmas card in hand by Christmas Eve!
Taking our annual card pictures is always such a challenge, but I'm lucky that if I hustle and move fast my husband and kids will mostly cooperate for 15 minutes ;)
I hope you all enjoy our 2015 Christmas card images and card (scroll to bottom to see the card).
Vendors used this year include:
Ballet dresses by Alice + Ames (these give the PERFECT twirl!)
Floral headpieces by Czarina's Projoect
Card Template by Jamie Schultz (I combined a couple different templates from this year and years past to create a completely custom card)

It's here....well almost! Happy Halloween!
I love a good excuse to play dress up and let our kids eat too much candy for one evening! In order to enjoy all the fun of Halloween I started doing Halloween pictures with my girls *before* Halloween a couple years back and I'm so glad to have these images out of the way so come Halloween night we can really just have fun and the only camera I may have in hand is my phone ;)
This year we did A League of Their Own theme! The girls were the Rockford Peaches, Matt their coach, and I a fan! I love how this family costume idea came together and how we are different from the crowd!
The girl's costumes were made by Maly & Me. You can find them on Facebook, here, Or you can find their website, here.
If you'd like to check out our costumes from years past you can find them at the links below:
2013- Batman and Robin
2014- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I hope you all love our baseball inspired theme of 2015!
Enjoy!
There are no words for how in love I am with this session! These new parents were such a dream to photograph. They were so relaxed through out the whole session and simply let me document their profound love for their new baby boy!
Thank you "H" family for trusting me to capture this precious milestone for your family!
